I took these out of the box and installed them within 10 minutes. No banging tubes for clearance, they fit perfect in a 77 trans am ls swap with trans dapt mounts. Great price and the appear to be really good quality. 10 out of 10
I picked up a set of these for putting a LS in my 1973 Camaro and they fit great! I used UMI motor mounts, and I think because of the orientation of the mounts the passenger side collector is a little close to the floor of the car, so I can't put an O2 sensor on that side, but that's ok! With the Holley Terminator harness, I only need to use 1 sensor and the bung is perfectly placed on the drivers side for everything to clear. Plenty of room around the starter too!
First set of headers I've bought that REALLY fit without any massaging and the price is more than fair
Put them on my 1981 camaro ls swap, they fit perfectly, and didn’t touch anything. It only took my like 15-20 minutes, highly recommended.
I used Hooker standard LS3 motor mounts (not forward or back but places engine in stock position) and modified my 70 Chevelle cross member (dropped the bottom of the mount to about 3/4" below the lowest point of the crossmember) to fit the 6L80e into the tunnel without cutting the tunnel. I had to "hammer" (4) top of tunnel locations to clear 4 places on the top of the 6L80e. With that said, these headers fit perfectly with no modifications at all. Frame to header probably has a 1/8" clearance on driver side, and about an inch clearance on the passenger side. There was plenty of 6L80e transmission clearance on both sides. The headers came out the back to my stock exhaust system almost perfectly. And, these are good looking, built solid, good quality all around, and a whole lot cheaper than the big brand headers!!
